In the Umbrian dialect the term "vocabolo" refers
to a small block of buildings or a small village situated in
the countryside.
For this reason in many rural areas in Umbria addresses, instead
of “via”, contain the denomination "vocabolo"
and it is for this reason that the address "Vocabolo Petrarca"
has also become the name of the holiday house located in Todi.
"Vocabolo Petrarca" is situated in the Todi Valley,
in the locality of Ponte Naia, and is reached through typical
Umbrian country roads some 1.5 Km from the center of the town
of Todi.
It is situated close to the town’s sport facilities and
one can admire a splendid view of the hill on which Todi is
located.
